Services

What I Actually Do

The services listed on my LinkedIn profile, written out in full. Six overlapping disciplines — most useful work sits where two of them meet.

This is a personal brand site rather than an agency shopfront, so nothing here is a packaged retainer. It is a description of the work I do well, how an engagement usually runs, and what you would actually receive. If a problem sits between two of these, that is normally the interesting one — say so in the first message.

Service 01

Digital Marketing Strategy

Deciding what to spend on, why, and how you will know it worked.

Strategy work starts with the commercial question, not the channel mix. I map the audience, the funnel stages that actually move revenue, and the measurement plan that proves it — then the media plan follows. The output is a plan someone can defend in a budget meeting, with named metrics attached to every line.

What you get

  • Audience and funnel mapping
  • Channel and media plan with budget splits
  • Measurement plan and success metrics
  • Quarterly review cadence

Service 02

Marketing Intelligence & Reporting

Reporting that answers a question instead of listing numbers.

Most reporting grows until nobody reads it. I rebuild it around the decisions it is supposed to support: one view per audience, a clear definition behind every metric, and commentary that says what changed and what to do about it. Where the data is messy, the tracking design gets fixed first.

What you get

  • Tracking and taxonomy review
  • Campaign performance reporting
  • Executive and operational dashboards
  • Written insight commentary, not just charts

Service 03

Data Analysis & Dashboards

Structuring, querying and visualising the signal in your data.

Hands-on analysis work: modelling the data so the questions are answerable, writing the SQL, and building the Power BI or web dashboards people actually open. I care as much about the model underneath as the visual on top — a pretty dashboard on a broken join is worse than no dashboard.

What you get

  • Data modelling and SQL work
  • Power BI / dashboard development
  • API and platform integrations
  • Documentation so it survives me

Service 04

AI & Workflow Automation

Removing the weekly copy-paste from your reporting and operations.

If a person repeats a task every week, it is a candidate for automation. I design workflows that pull, transform and deliver data on a schedule, and apply AI where it genuinely helps — drafting narratives, classifying free text, summarising volume — with guardrails so nothing gets invented. Fails politely, logs loudly.

What you get

  • Workflow and process mapping
  • Automated pipelines and scheduled jobs
  • AI-assisted drafting and classification
  • Error handling, retries and alerting

Service 05

Digital Infrastructure & Web Systems

Owning the stack your systems and sites actually run on.

Linux, Docker, VPS environments, databases and self-hosted tooling — set up so it is reproducible rather than hand-tuned once and forgotten. This is where reporting and automation projects usually live, so it is often the quiet half of the other services.

What you get

  • Containerised environments
  • VPS and self-hosted application setup
  • Database provisioning and backups
  • Deployment and monitoring basics

Service 06

Networking & Security Fundamentals

Understanding how systems connect — and how they fail.

Network design and security fundamentals applied in authorised, controlled environments: segmentation, firewall policy, and defensive learning. All penetration-testing activity happens on systems I own or have explicit written permission to test — never speculative, never on production I was not invited into.

What you get

  • Network segmentation and design reviews
  • Security fundamentals walkthroughs
  • Authorised lab-based testing
  • Findings written up in plain language

How an engagement runs

Question first, dashboard last

1. Define. A short conversation about the decision you are trying to make. If the real problem turns out to be a different one, I would rather say so early.

2. Build. Strategy, model, pipeline or dashboard — whatever the question needs. Documented as it goes, so nothing depends on me remembering it.

3. Hand over. You get the artefact plus the reasoning behind it. The goal is that the next iteration does not need me.

Ethical practice statement

All cybersecurity and penetration-testing activity is performed in authorised, ethical and controlled lab environments, on systems I own or have explicit written permission to test.

Which one of these is your problem?

Tell me the decision you are stuck on and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it.
