THIRD-PERSON RPGS
I play role-playing games in third person by preference. Seeing the character in the world keeps me reading the whole scene — terrain, factions, timing — instead of a narrow slice of it. These are the campaigns logged that way, each one treated like a project with a plan, a budget and consequences.
What “third-person” means
Third-person means the camera sits behind or beside the character rather than inside their eyes: you see the person you are playing, their gear, their footing and everything around them. It trades the tunnel vision of a first-person view for situational awareness — spacing, terrain, who is flanking you — which is the same reason I like dashboards that show the whole funnel instead of one metric.
What's included here
- Single-player RPG campaigns played with an over-the-shoulder or free third-person camera.
- Story-led, choice-heavy runs where builds, factions and consequences are worth writing notes about.
- Entries tagged Third-Person in the gaming log — the same tag powers the filter on the main hub.
Not included: first-person shooters, competitive multiplayer, and tabletop campaign notes — those live in the full gaming log.
