Reddit Ads
Community-level targeting where people research out loud before they buy.
Official ad managerHow I use it
Reddit is the only large platform where the audience is organised by the thing they care about rather than by who they are. That makes subreddit targeting behave more like intent data than interest data — a person posting in r/homelab is telling you their category, budget bracket and objection list for free. The trade-off is tone: creative that reads like a display ad gets ignored or ratioed. Ads that read like a useful comment, and land on a page that respects the click, do the work.
Measurement
Reddit Pixel and Conversions API, view-through windows kept short, incrementality checked against organic mentions.
Watch out for
Ad-literate, sceptical audience — polished brand creative underperforms honest, specific copy.
